Apple Store Employee Says iPhone Not Supposed To Be An iPod ?

I am an iPhone owner. I bought one .. oh about 3-4 months ago. Right before they dropped the price ... those bastards. Anyway, one of the things I was looking forward to was consolidating my podcasts and some music onto the iPhone. That way, I would not need two devices in my car.
